We attended the 2012 Social Media Summit
We wanted to learn about the latest trends in using social media for marketing so we signed up for the the 2012 Social Media Summit…..
What a great event, put on by the Social Media Examiner! We learned about all of the latest business-building tactics from Google+, blogging, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, Twitter, Pinterest and more.
We learned how to get the most out of our social marketing efforts from key thought leaders in social media. We networked with others in our industry and and had thoughtful discussions.
The value of networking and meeting other social media experts can’t even be measured. It’s a great platform to make business connections and to learn about best practices.
The summit was held the entire month of May. All of the classes were online so the best part about the summit was that you didn’t have to travel and we could do it from the comfort of our homes.
Using Social Media for Marketing
Drio understands that social media industry is constantly changing and that our and our client’s online business strategies must be revisited every couple of months. We understand that to be successful in today’s market we must be “using social media for marketing” for ourselves and for our clients.
Many companies are jumping onto social media as an additional way of marketing their products. But there is a world of difference between setting up a Facebook page and getting people to ‘like’ it versus getting active engagement with the campaign.
Having an online presence isn’t enough. What counts is making sure that the tactics you use is effective and actively working for your business. Be creative and think outside the box. Make sure to use all outlets to get your name out there and to increase engagement.
Check back this month as we will be giving our readers the latest tip and trends that we learned about from the Summit!
