Summer intern-samMeet Drio’s @DrioStudio first, official summer intern, Sam Nolan @drio_sam. He is back from college for the summer and is working with the Drio girls helping with Social Media and Online Marketing.  We asked him 10 questions to learn more about him.

Read his answers below so you can learn more about him too:

10 Questions for our new Summer Intern, Sam

1.  What is your full name?
Samuel Asher Nolan

2.  What are you majoring in and at what school?
I am majoring in Architecture and Art History at Columbia University.

3.  What song have you listened to the most this week?
Spectrum by Florence + The Machine

4.  Who or what inspires you?
I think what inspires me the most is seeing how people interpret the banal things in life, taking something like putting clothes on every day or choosing a theme for a painting, and completely turning it upside down. It makes you realize how much beauty there is in the objects and concepts around us – creative genius does not have to come from discovering the unknown.

5.  What is your favorite iPhone App?
HeyTell – it’s like a walkie talkie in your iphone that sends voice messages.

6.  How do you typically communicate with your friends?  FB? text? email? phone?
I would say for the most part texting or for friends that are in different cities for school, I usually use Facebook messages

7.  Favorite article of clothing? or What reality TV show do you watch regularly?
My red flannel button down shirt that I bought in a vintage store in New York for $5. And sadly, my guilty pleasure is the Real Housewives of New York.

8.  What can you not live without?
My family.

9.  What are you most scared of?
Not being in control of my life – airplanes are a close second.

10. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Hopefully still living in New York City working in some type of creative field, whether architecture or something more on the business side of architecture like development.

Thank Sam for sharing a little more about himself!  We are so excited to have him helping us through the summer.  We hope that he can learn something from us, but most of all we hope to learn from him!  In his two weeks with Drio he’s been a tremendous asset to the team.

On a side note, we just entered a contest featured on the Business Journal’s Social Madness Pages.  Support your favorite local business and vote for Drio!
